About Partfitpro
A personal opening
When I started Partfitpro, I wanted to solve a simple problem: you shouldn’t have to guess what actually fits and lasts when you buy auto gear online. I’m Mike Dalton, a certified ASE technician and lifelong gearhead who has built, wrenched on, and accessorized everything from daily drivers to weekend project cars. This site exists because the real work of choosing car accessories happens in the driveway, not in a glossy catalog. I focus on the nitty-gritty that matters—fitment, durability, and real-world value—so you can skip the hype and still end up with gear you actually trust. If you’re crawling under a dashboard at 6 a.m. to swap out a mount or test a mat that won’t slip, you’re part of the conversation I want to have here.
On partfitpro.com, you won’t find wishful marketing pitches. You’ll see honest tests, clear measurements, and notes from actual installs across a wide range of vehicles. I’ve learned the hard way that a “universal” product often fails where a tailored solution shines, and that the difference between a good accessory and a great one is rarely the first impression—it’s the long game under sun, rain, and daily use.
About Mike Dalton
I earned my ASE certification early in my career and spent years on shop floors diagnosing everything from common reliability issues to stubborn electrical gremlins. I’ve built and modified cars for a living, from daily drivers to weekend project cars, and my approach to parts is the same: I demand fit, I demand durability, and I demand value you can actually measure in miles and months of use.
I've installed hundreds of floor mats, strapped in seat covers to protect leather, mounted dash cams, and wired up power accessories while sweating in the garage or freezing in a parking lot. I’ve tested OBD2 scanners that save a stranded friend a tow and jump starters that actually start a cold engine at 20 below. These moments—small wins and hard lessons—shape every review I write. I don’t guess what will work; I show you what worked for me on real vehicles you’re likely to own.
Readers trust my judgment because I’m transparent about my process and my relationships. I review products with my own money first, I disclose any affiliate links, and I never let sponsorships steer the verdict. If I wouldn’t recommend it to my own cars, I won’t recommend it to you. That’s the standard I hold every review to, whether it’s a budget pick or a premium setup.

How We Test & Review
My review process is rigorous and transparent. For each product I test authentic fitment on at least two vehicles with different interior layouts, and I track installation time, ease, and how the item performs under real-world conditions over weeks or months. I evaluate fitment accuracy, build quality, durability under cleaning and wear, and how the product affects everyday use—accessing controls, driving comfort, visibility, or storage capability.
- Fitment and compatibility across vehicle types
- Durability and build quality under real-world use
- Ease of installation, maintenance, and daily practicality
- Performance vs. price and overall value
- Warranty, support, and after-sales experience
- Transparency: affiliate links disclosed; reviews are not influenced by relationships
Time spent on testing varies by product, but I never rush a verdict. If I notice a flaw or a standout strength during testing, I call it out clearly and propose solid, realistic alternatives.
